Biography

The band Steely heaven started as the name Hallowed about 12 years ago, by the brothers Robb St (guitars, keyboards and vocals) and Marcelo Santos (drums) with two friends called Rafael Freitas (bass) and Eduardo Cardoso (guitar and vocals), with this line up, they did some shows and participated of some metal festivals. Soon they changed the name to Steely heaven and Eduardo left the band replaced by Rodrigo Simes on the guitars as well Romulo Cardoso joined the band on the vocals. During a large period between 1999 and 2003 the band was justing rehearsing and composing almost stopped cause of the university compromises of the band members.

So in 2003 they released their first independent EP called "...and the tale begins" with 7 songs, with Robb St (guitars and keyboards), Rodrigo Simes (Guitars and vocals), Rafael Freitas (Bass) and Marcelo Santos (Drums), with this album they have got very good reviews in Brazil , EUA and Europe, did some shows and won two metal festivals in their city.

In the middle of 2004, as soon they were thinking about release a new album, Rafael left the band and they called a Marcelo´s university friend Luiz Pagotto to replace him on the bass, and at this moment Rodrigo left the guitars being just the singer and Fenando Savi was called to be a second guitarrist. With this line up the band participated the JB music festival, being the only Metal band that got the finals between 800 bands in all country, a reason that made all the band so proud of their sound and to carry the Heavy Metal flag on this brasilian music festival . But, when the band decided to record the new album, Rodrigo and Fernando left the band. So once again Robb and Marcelo had to decide what to do, but with the help of Luiz Pagotto, they decided to call a new singer and record the album. So they called Gian Vita (ex Tydra) to the vocals and started to record the new album to be called "Far beyond heaven ...right before hell" during the recording sessions, they decided to call a second guitarrist, and Vin Maia (ex Tydra) was called to complete the team.

Now the band is alive again and finishing to record the new album soon to be released.
